Dave Clark born in 1960 has been training in martial arts since the age of 5 and had studied and trained in most effective martial arts ranging from Judo, Thai Boxing, Jeet Ken Do to Jiu Jitsu both traditional & Brazilian.
In the Mid nineties Dave was Scotland’s only Bjj instructor under Chen Mores from the famous Budokwai in London, and has represented Scotland in the world championship Sambo finals held in Kiev at the age of 40 in the year 2000.
Dave has worked in most counties of the world and will take the chance at every opportunity to learn the most effective forms of self-defense and MMA techniques from the most effective systems or arts.
Dave has been ‘cross training’ since the early 80’s which is now known as Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) as he seen the way the world was developing in the way both self defense and the sport was going.
Dave sought out the best MA practitioners within both UK and overseas to develop his knowledge and skills.
Together with a fellow Martial Artist and instructor they started an MMA club in fife in the early nineties and has now developed with the introduction of Team Unity with his sons who are both active participants in the UK MMA and Grappling scene.
With his fellow Martial Artist the 5 times world heavyweight Thai Boxing champion Duncan Earlie James opened the first MMA (free boxing event in Scotland some +10 years ago)
Dave has also 15+ years military experience and
is also one of only 5 Bas Rutten MMA system instructors in Europe,
